At National Velour Corporation, we have been serving the medical industry for more than 20 years as a preferred supplier of flocked films. We work with clients across the nation to create FDA-compliant, medical-grade flocked products—including vinyl, polyurethane, fabric, and other materials—for use in health care facilities and hospitals.
Because of our expertise and knowledge in the field, we were recently contracted to create a custom flocked material for medical devices that would enhance the softness of substrates. We engineered and created custom flocked material for our medical client that made their devices more suitable for direct skin contact. Using vinyl, polyurethane and thermoplastic polyurethane substrates, along with cotton flocking material, we created 60″ goods that features a soft smooth feel with a low nap finish. The result of our work was a soft, comfortable, water-resistant product. In addition, our custom applied fiber solution is:
- Antimicrobial
- Nonporous
- Flame-retardant
- And latex-free
The custom medical device flocked materials can be cleaned with soap and water, and they’re is cold- and crack-resistant as well as RF-weldable. We completed the entire project within five weeks and delivered it on time to our customer. The customized fabric product we created for this client met all requirements—including Title 21 of the FDA.
At National Velour Corporation, we’re ready to do the same with your custom medical device applied fiber need. We offer the most extensive product line in the industry and carry the most diverse selection of flocked goods for medical devices in the world—not to mention, we’re continually engineering new or custom products based on our clients’ needs.
